Daredevil gunmen have attacked and killed a policeman on Thursday at the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS ) office along Aba road, in Oyigbo Local Government area of Rivers State. Police spokesperson in the state, Mr Nnamdi Omoni disclosed that police has arrested 22 persons over the attack which also had some police vans burnt.
The police says that on-going investigation may indict more suspects in connection to the attack. He advised the community to go about their normal businesses as normalcy has returned.
“We have stabilised the area and security beefed up.” The police spokesperson says.
